Types Of Wedding Venues
There are all kinds of different wedding venues where you can choose to tie the knot. The most traditional is a house of worship. If the bride and groom are religious, and share the same religion, this is often an easy choice to make. The ceremony will usually take place at the church, temple or other religious building where the couple attends services. Things can become complicated, however, if the couple is of mixed religion or have chosen not to get married in a religious setting.
One solution for a wedding of mixed faith is to have a Unitarian officiant. Without going into great detail about this particular faith tradition, Unitarians accept most all religions and an officiant from this faith would be ideal to perform a mixed faith ceremony. Or, a Justice of the Peace could be hired to perform the ceremony. As far as venues are concerned, there are a great number of choices. In certain seasons outdoor weddings are popular. Outdoor weddings allow the beauty of the natural world to be an ideal backdrop for the most romantic day of your life. Spring and summer are great for outdoor weddings, which can take place at country clubs, backyards, beaches, parks and other destinations. Speaking of destinations, let's talk a bit about the destination wedding.
A destination wedding is like a wedding and honeymoon rolled into one. These wedding often take place at resorts, on tropical beaches, at luxurious hotels and other fun spots. For example Las Vegas is a very popular destination wedding location. Many couples who go this route technically elope, and throw a party when they return home to serve as the reception for friends and family. While guests are sometimes invited along for a destination wedding, it is often just the couple. Many resorts have wedding and honeymoon packages for this very purpose.
There are also banquet halls you can rent out if you want an inexpensive wedding venue for a small to medium sized ceremony. Choosing between wedding venues should be done as soon as possible, so you can make sure to reserve the venue for your chosen wedding date. In addition to the ideas presented here, you might even have some creative thoughts of your own about where you would like to get married. Of course your wedding budget will also factor in, you will need a venue that fits into your price range.
